50 Cent has nothing on this cat!
A three-year-old British cat miraculously survived 30 different pellet wounds after being shot outside her home in Essex.
Owner Doug Taw said he heard gunshots in the area before his pet, Puss-Puss, went missing for a week. She recently returned home, “dragging her feet, covered in blood and clearly injured,” according to an RSPCA press release sent to the Daily News.
“I was beside myself with worry,” owner Doug Taw said. “Then she eventually dragged herself back in a terrible state and we rushed her straight to the vet.”
Puss-Puss is expected to recover but will need one eye removed.
The tough kitty is expected to survive, but she will need one eye removed.
“We were shocked to find that Puss-Puss was peppered with such an extraordinary number of pellet wounds all over her body and head,” RSPCA inspector Adam Jones said. “One was in her paw, making it hard for her to walk, and another in the middle of her eye, causing a detached retina.”
The damage could have been much worse, according to Jones, who said two bullets just missed Puss-Puss’ spinal cord.
A perpetrator for the heartless shooting has not yet been found.
“I just can’t think what sort of person could have done this to her,” Taw said.
